Spring Animal Topped Treat Jars

Let's make something colorful this week! How about some spring painted animal jar toppers? They are really, really easy to make and look so very cute. All you'll need are jars with lids, plastic toy animals that will fit the top of your jar, and paint (acrylic or spray paint). You can use any size of jar you want. Mine are pint size lids but smaller jars.

You can find plastic animals online or at any toy store. The key here is to make sure they fit well on top of your jar so don't go big or too tiny. Once you've selected the animals you want to use, make sure they will sit flat on your jar. Then use E6000 glue to adhere them to the center of each lid. Let dry.

Once dry, you can paint the lids. I prefer spray paint as it makes quick work of covering both the animals and the jar. It typically takes me 2-3 coats with an hour drying time in between to get a good coverage.

For the colors I chose for the jars (salmon pink, yellow, and a soft blue), I wanted a white treat to go inside my jar. I chose powdered doughnut holes, but you could store jewelry, toys, Q-tips, and more in your jars. Just pick colors and animals that fit the decor or holiday you are going for. These would almost make DARLING favors for any party.
