Spray Painted Magnet Board

Let's get organized! How about a magnet board that functions as both a message board, and a photo display? We'll start with a galvanized frame and turn it into a gorgeous spray painted magnet board. This is a SUPER fast craft you can do in an afternoon. Keep reading for all the details!

Spray Painted Magnet Board:

To create this magnet board, you'll need a galvanized surface. I'm using a surface you can from Jillibean Soup at Walmart and JoAnn Stores. If possible, remove the galvanized surface and tape off a pattern you wish to try. At first I was thinking stripes but later changed my mind to a two-tone diagonal design.

I used spray paint, but you could use acrylic paint if you prefer. The key is to remove the blue painter's tape while the paint is still a bit wet. Pull the tape towards the painted design to get a clean line.

For this project I used a deep aqua and a lighter aqua paint color.

The magnet letters I used on this project are from Crate Paper. You can use any time of magnets you want.
