This project is so easy! You simply tape off the part of the paper mache letter you don't want painted. And then use acrylic paint or spray paint to paint the rest of the letter. Before the letter is completely dry, peel off the painter's tape.
Then use hot glue to attach the pom poms to the unpainted portion of the paper mache letter.
Now think of all the ways you could recreate this project. Try a different shade of paint! Try multi-colored pom poms. Make your own pom poms. Fill the entire project with pom poms. Use paint all over the letter, or use a different pattern of paint. So many choices for making this project!
One tip I will suggest when picking your paint color(s) is to match the decor in which you plan to place the letter. I like these bright colors in my craft room, so I went with a happy yellow. Perhaps your decor leans towards cobalt blue, or blush pink. Take that into consideration when selecting your paint choices.
