I was so excited to play with some NEW Spellbinders dies and stamps this week. For this project, I wanted something special I could give a craft-loving friend so I started with a striped gift bag and then used the dies and stamps to decorate the bag. Using stickers, die cuts, and stamps can take any generic bag and turn it into something special. Keep reading for the full tutorial and to shop the supplies.
Step 1: Use black Staz-On ink to stamp the sentiment onto the front of the bag. Let it dry before continuing.
Step 2: Use the envelope die to die cut an envelope shape from white cardstock.
Step 3: Die cut two leaves from green cardstock.
Step 4: Use the heart die cuts to die cut three hearts from red cardstock.
Step 5: Use the letter die cut to die cut a letter for the envelope from blue cardstock. This die cut will also emboss as it cuts. So cool, right?
To finish off the bag, add the rest of the hearts, and a tiny enamel red dot to the largest heart. Fill the bag with small gifts, and tie off with a red ribbon.
Here's another look at the finished project. Be sure to pin your favorites for later.
