When selecting flower dies I look for 1) Varying Sizes, 2) Unique petals, 3) Flowers that can be dimensional, and 4) Interesting flower centers.
When selecting botanicals, I look for 1) Varying styles, 2) Interesting textures, and 3) Different sizes.
My favorite thing to do is to combine petals, flower centers and botanicals from a variety of different dies. This gives the flower more realism and more depth.
