Where Are They Now? The 2Peas Garden Girls

So now that my daily routine of getting up to check out the 2Peas website has been disrupted, I'm feeling a little bit "homeless." Where are you going these day to get your creative fix on? Is there a message board forum that you prefer? Where do you find you get the best deals, the best shipping rates, and customer service for ordering crafty supplies? I will need a few stores to recommend when I share crafty projects here on the blog, and I'd love to hear your preferences.

In chatting with the other Garden Girls recently released from their duties at 2Peas, I realized that perhaps you might not know how to find each one of them. And I certainly wouldn't want you to miss out on their fabulousness so here's where to locate them. Be sure to follow them through your favorite social media channels. These gals are super creative and are just wonderful girls. I can't wait to see what each one of them has up their sleeves. I'm sure it will be amazing! (These are just the girls that shared their info. I'll update it as I receive others' info.)

  1. Thank you for taking the time to share all of these links! I think I've got most of them already stored, or subscribed to, but I will double check, just in case. I have gradually built an appreciation for The Garden Girls and really want to stay inspired by them.

As for shopping and links, I have two preferences: scrapbook.com and A Cherry On Top (acot, for short). They both appeal for different reasons. Scrapbook.com is huge and I have spent the last 6 or 7 years establishing my gallery and forum posts there. The store is huge and varied with fairly reliable stock. Acot, while seemingly smaller, awards points for not only purchases but forum participation and gallery uploads. I like earning extra discounts. Also, at acot, I'm more likely to receive feed back on my projects regardless of challenge participation. At scrapbook.com, I only receive feedback from challenge participants; and really I'm okay with that, too. I know I'm not a big designer, so it's cool.

  5. Thanks for the links Jen. In addition to what Mommasaid, Paperclipping has started a forum, since they are not affiliated with a store it might turn into the best place to find scrappy deals that can't be mentioned in the other places. It's too early to tell about the gallery.
Linky: www.paperclipping.com and click forums at the top.

Scrapbook.com has a gallery import function to easily move your gallery over to theirs, if you are interested. You will need to be logged into scrapbook.com and know your pea number.

Wishing you the best with all your upcoming adventures.

  9. Also just wanted to let you know that that color of yellow is very hard to read, especially for older eyes.

  11. hi Jen,
Thanks for sharing all the links for the G.Girls.
I have been using Scrapbook.com too. Its good all the tips the other girls here mentioned and I will check all of them too. As about forums, I was invited to join http://2peasrefugees.boards.net/ where a lot of homeless 2Peas moved into. There is a lot going on there since the forum is new. New Treads, new posts, new challenges.
I hope to be able to see all of you there too!

  12. Thanks for the links! I was saddened when 2peas closed. I did not buy there as the shipping costs to Canada was out of this world, but I was inspired by all the creativity there. I was able to learn many techniques and such. But that is no more....
I frequent 2 forums. One being studio Calico. great group of people there, without all the cattiness of some forums, and the shipping is pretty decent, especially to Canada.and my other go to forum is scrapbooknerd.com. Canadian owned, ran, but we have many friends from the other side of the border. great, great place! Love these 2 sites!

  14. Thanks so much for giving where to find the Garden Girls. For me, you are what Two Peas was all about! I also like ACOT. The community is nice and I also like getting rewarded for commenting and giving product reviews when I make a purchase. They will also allow you to create a wishlist and will let you know when an item is in stock. I've been happy with their discounts and shipping, too.

Thank you so much Jen!! The links you provided are very appreciated! While 2ps was my most frequented store, I also shop at ACOT, SB.com, AWDML, Frantic Stamper and Simon Says Stamp. I have recently heard very good things about Scrabook Generation but have not tried it yet.

  16. Thanks for the links. As an overseas scrapper I get the best deals, delivery, service etc from simonsaysstamps and ellen huston. Both are more than happy to supply fair rates for us overseas customers...as well as carrying a good range.

  17. Thanks so much Jen! I think I've got most of them in my bookmarks but I'll double check :)
I did take Scrapbook.com's offer and move my gallery over using their tool http://www.scrapbook.com/blog/view/418741.html , which was really awesome of them! Still looking around and checking them out.
Once I found out about the closing, I googled it and found a FB group which led me to the new boards http://2peasrefugees.boards.net/, so far it's feeling like home, board wise.
I'm still trying to figure out where to go for all of the awesome classes I have taken and the inspiration I've received from the GGs over the last almost 10 years :( I have pinned lots of things like crazy (so hopefully I'll still have a pic) and repinned things from the GGs blogs rather than from 2peas. Since thankfully most of y'all have blogged the classes/layouts with lots of great information, so I won't feel too sad with the videos gone.
I thank you again for all of the inspiration you have given me over the years. And I look forward to seeing more from you here :) Best of luck in everything you do.

  18. Add me to the list of people that is so sad about the closing of 2 Peas. I am especially going to miss your Make it Meaningful series. I hope you can continue that. I'll be following you and the other GGs wherever you are. :)

  19. Scrapbook.com always felt so inviting and wonderful to me, and they have a fabulous store. Though i was a member at 2 peas, I never felt accepted, and I found lots of drama and "meanness" there. I made Scrapbook.com my "scrapbook home" from the very beginning. Scrapbook.com has said in the past, "Because nice matters." They want their forums to be a fun place for everybody, not just the "best" and the "biggest" scrapbookers out there.

I also love Studio Calico. A much smaller community (although now, I'll bet that will change... LOL), and it's also wonderful.... people are very encouraging, supportive, and kind. I no longer visit Scrapbook.com. Studio Calico is my new online scrapbook home. :)

  20. Thanks for the links Jen. I will miss twopeas. I logged on there everyday for the last 10 years and more. I never encountered any "cattiness" there or meanness. I guess I was lucky. I loved all the Inspiration from the wonderful Garden Girls, and just regular scrappers. I also moved my gallery to scrapbook.com, very easy. Since most of my online purchases was at twopeas, I will have to try all the ones mentioned here to find a good fit. I also joined 2peasrefugees.boards.net. lots of familiar faces over there. Will have to check out the Paperclipping forum too. I follow your blog regularly, so I already know where to find you. :)

  21. Thank you so much for gathering the 2Peas Garden Girls information. I am already missing the videos & have placed my last order. Sadness :(

  22. Just want to say thanks for the links as well. (And let you know that I agree with Penny, the yellow is not the easiest to read on a white background.)
