Creative Field Trip: A Night Out with Canon

Sometimes I need a creative outlet to get my creative juices flowing. Last night I was invited to an exclusive event held by My Craft Channel and Canon. At the event we were treated to a goodie bag filled with all the items necessary to complete an Instagram album donated by both We R' Memory Keepers and Fancy Pants Design.

Lori Allred had generously printed out photos from our Instagram feed to go inside our albums. It was fun to see what she had picked, and it also made me realize I need to include more of myself and my family in my feed.

Canon shared their vision for a #photographyrenaissance in which we make more of an effort to both take photos and then print and remember those photos. It fits perfectly inline with what I want to accomplish as my family memory keeper. I especially liked their new poster-sized paper which we were allowed to use throughout the night. Using their mobile printing phone app (see HERE), many of the girls printed photos from their phones including family photos, pet photos, and quotes from Pinterest.

While we chatted and worked, we were served the most delicious food. It was just a perfect outlet and way to connect with other bloggers and professional who "get it." Thank you Lori and Kristine for the invite. It was exactly what I needed to jumpstart some creative juices. If you haven't yet followed Lori on My Craft Channel, definitely check out her latest episode HERE.

I'm really grateful for the outing and for the time meeting new friends, and I'm looking forward to doing it again some time soon!

  2. Looks like fun. Are we going to see your minibook? I wish they had a Windows version of the app.
