Over the past year I've definitely missed working in my Editor positions with Northridge Media. They are a great group of people, and I appreciate the hard work that goes into each magazine. Although I no longer work directly with their magazines, I still enjoy submitting to publications whenever I get the opportunity.
One call that I really enjoy submitting for is the "Create: Stamping" calls. I thoroughly enjoy any excuse to mix both scrapbooking and stamping. In this layout, I stamped the red circle background, the embossed vellum butterfly, the "one step at a time" sentiment, and the layered butterflies. In just a few areas of stamping, I can create my own embellishments for my layout:
This project was featured in the "Create: Stamping" 2012 edition, which you can download or purchase HERE:
If you're looking for other ways I have incorporated stamping into my layouts, be sure to check out my 2Peas Gallery HERE, which includes many stamped projects. I also teach a workshop at 2Peas called "Scrapbook Stampers Workshop," which shows you how you can add stamps to your layout using stamp styles you might already have on hand. You can find that workshop HERE. Here's a sneak peek at what this workshop has to offer.
And finally, I wanted to link you to a few of my favorite stamps (including some stamps that you could use to recreate the layout above). Perhaps you already own a few of them or are in search of a few new suggestions. You can find all the stamps at 2Peas HERE.
