2Peas Challenge: A Note to a Loved One

Join me for a special challenge hosted at 2Peas. This week's challenge was to create a layout with a note to a loved one. A lot of my layouts are emotionally based with letters or notes to my children. Just last night I had a horrible dream that I was diagnosed with cancer. It disturbed and upset me after losing my firstborn to cancer. Although it was nothing more that a terrible nightmare, it did remind me that time is precious and that thoughts of love and encouragement left unsaid are just that--unsaid.

We can't assume that people know how we feel. I want my children to know just how much they mean to me. I want them to know my hopes and dreams for them. I want them to know how much I appreciated their help. How beautiful I find them.

So I created this layout to my teenage daughter who is already 15 years old. My time with her still living in our home is limited. Soon she will spread her wings and fly the coop. And while I have full confidence in her ability to thrive as an adult and a woman in today's world, I am going to miss her like crazy.

This one's for her:

Here is a close-up of the journaling:

I'd love for you to accept this challenge. If you complete your project today and want to be included in the drawing for a 2Peas Gift Certificate, then please upload the finished project to the 2Peas gallery making sure to check the correct challenge box as you upload your layout. Or you can simply use this as inspiration for the next time you have something to say to someone you love.

You can never say "I love you" enough. I promise!
