Caught On Film
So I'm taking the plunge. I signed up for Karen Russell's photography class. I've long been an admirer of her and her photography so I'm auditing her March through June class. My one goal: getting out of automatic!! That would be so awesome. I keep telling myself, "You're capable of learning photography. Really. You are." I'm not sure I'm any better at convincing myself of that than I am of convincing my children that vegetables are good for you. Not that photography is as bad as vegetables. :)
"I think I can!"--remember--FEARLESS!!!
I thought I'd share with you a layout or two that I created for Little Yellow Bicycle. The first is about how my son has become an "emotional bandaid" for our grief over losing Joseph. All my children have a lovely sensitivity and know how to love us through the tough times. I'm very grateful for them. You can see a detail shot of the layout and see the supplies here:

* Cardstock: Die Cuts with a View, Bazzill
* Brown flower paper from the Family Paper Tablet by Little Yellow Bicycle

And this second project, I wanted to document my feelings about wanting to get pregnant again after my miscarriage a little over a year ago. It's not something I've been ready to talk about until recently, and I now I want to make sure this part of my life is included in my life story. So I used the Pregnancy Tablet from Little Yellow Bicycle, and the one photo I have of my pregnancy to create this layout. You can see a detail shot and the product here at 2Peas.
Supplies:
* Cardstock: Provo Craft, Bazzill
* Pregnancy Tablet by Little Yellow Bicycle

I love that die cut flower, and it's making me really hungry for spring since it is raining/showing outside right now. :( I hate gloomy, overcast days. Bring on the sunshine!! :)
You will LOVE KR's class... I'm in the one that is just finishing next week (boo!) and it is a great great class! She presents things in a way that is easy to understand (even for my little pea-brain!) and she will answer ALL of your questions (many times over, if necessary!) with a thoroughness that I've never come across before. I super love her and her class!! Can't wait to see your photos improve!!
ReplyDeleteawe, I'm so sorry about your loss. That's hard. That LO is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI signed up for the auditing class but the one from June-August. I figured that summer would be easier to take pics. Good luck with the class. I'm so excited about it!
