Spellbinders Christmas Jar

For a perfect holiday gift, create a Christmas jar full of holly, mistletoe, or other Christmas greenery. Make it extra special by decorating the jar. For this jar, I used a beautiful die cut from Spellbinders.com. The "Peace Begins Here" die is an intricate, large die shape that looks beautiful on a solid colored background. Because this gift is for Christmas, I used red cardstock. But this die is a non-seasonal die and could be used throughout the year.

I highly recommend the Spellbinders Platinum machine for cutting this die. This machine has a really tight fit which makes clean cuts from intricate dies like this. It's also on deep discount from Scrapbook.com during the holiday season, which makes it a great holiday gift idea.

If your greenery is real, then wrap the jar with red paper and the die on the outside of the jar. If your greenery is silk, like mine shown here, then you can wrap the red cardstock and die on the inside of the jar.

I just love how gorgeous this die looks with the red shining through behind it. You could also create a beautiful background with blended inks. Or you could die cut the shape from several different colors of cardstock and build a scene filled with color. This die is extremely versatile and perfect for any project you want to make beautiful.
