I have been dying to try some stamp layering, and this beautiful bird stamp from Close to My Heart was exactly what I needed to get started. It took a few tries, but with my Misti Stamping Tool I was able to make quick work of the bird and the corresponding tag I created. I am finding that I pull out my Misti more and more often, so I am keeping it near my desk for quick crafts like this tag.
How to Stamp a Layered Bird Tag:
Step 1: Use three different shades of ink to stamp the body of the bird.Step 2: Use the corresponding die to "fussy cut" around the shape of the bird.
Step 3: Use white stamping ink to stamp the floral background onto kraft cardstock.
Step 4: Use a tag die cut to create a tag. Stamp the sentiment on the tag in black.
Step 5: Finish off the tag with ribbon, a strip of patterned paper, and yellow enamel dots.
