Instructions:

Step 1:  Use this Sizzix "Cone, Faceted" die HERE to cut three Tussie Mussies from patterned paper using a Sizzix Die Cut Machine or Cuttlebug Die Cut Machine.

Step 2: Using the lines impressed into the die cut, score and fold each line with your fingers or a scoring tool. Add adhesive to the ends that will join together.

Step 4: Pleat a small, white doily and attach it to the front of each Tussie Mussie with glue or adhesive.

Step 5:  Use a circle die cut that is just large enough to cover the center of the white doily to die cut circles from white cardstock. This will require the use of a manual die cut machine.

Step 6: Use a leaf die cut and a manual die cut machine to cut leaves from light green cardstock. This die has two leaves. I used the larger leaf die cut shape for my Tussie Mussies. I set aside the other die cut leaves for a future project.

Step 7: Mount the circles, leaves, and paper flowers in the center of the doily. Leaf die cuts can point down or up and can be layered for even more texture.

Step 8: You can also add texture by adding a few dark pink enamel dots to the white die cut circle and doily of some of the Tussie Mussies. This is an optional step.

Step 12: Thread ribbon through two small holes in the scallop design at the top of the Tussie Mussie. Knot the ends of the ribbon. The ribbon will allow you to hang the Tussie Mussies from a doorknob, which is the traditional way to deliver a Tussie Mussie to a neighbor or loved one.

  3. Have always enjoyed making cones for several holiday decorations so this will be so much fun. Don't have the tussie mussie die but do have paper patterns. Will look for leaf die to buy as will be very useful for other projects, little more affordable for me.
These are so pretty and not something everybody will give as gift. Have most of elements needed to make these so will enjoy thinking of parts to put on them, made special for each person.
Sure glad I clicked on this item on list.
    Hope you have wonderful weekend
