Merry Stamped and Die Cut Tag

Today I wanted to show you a more subdued Christmas card you can easily create with stamping and die cutting. This style follows the more plaid trend you're seeing in home decor and Christmas decor this year. Here's a look at this card:

"Merry" stamped and die cut #christmascard by Jen Gallacher.

To create this card you will need:

* Holly Die Set
* "Merry" Word Set
* Gold Sequins
* Embossing Folder
* Scallop Scissors
* Kraft, Green, White, Black, and Burgundy Cardstock
* Manual Die Cut Machine
* Burgundy Stamping Ink
* Fair Isle Background Stamp

To create the card ink the Fair Isle background stamp with burgundy ink and stamp into burgundy cardstock. Run the kraft cardstock through the manual die cut machine using the embossing folder. Cut into a pennant shape. Mount a scallop border in black on the right side of the banner. Wrap twine around the pennant four to five times and tie into a bow. Mount the banner on the card. Die the holly leaves from green cardstock and mount on the banner. Add gold sequins for the "berries." Die cut the word "merry" from white cardstock and mount on the card.

Here's another look at the completed card, which I originally created for www.echoparkpaper.com:
