Making It Meaningful: Camping Tent Treat Boxes

Last week my husband and son survived an entire week out in the woods with a bunch of 12-13 year old Scouts. Let me just say that one of them came home happier than the other. Camping is not for the faint of heart, but it's certainly a great way to bond with family and friends. If camping's not for you, or if you're looking for a camp-themed craft, you can easily create these "Camping Tent" Treat Boxes.

To create this project, you'll want to purchase and download a 3d Tent Treat Box from the Silhouette online store. I also used "The Wild Life" collection kit from Echo Park Paper for the tents:

Camping Tent Treat Box Tutorial

Step 1: To create the tent, first cut the base from brown cardstock.

Step 2: Cut the top of the tent from patterned paper making sure the cut will center the pattern on the paper. Use your favorite adhesive to glue the die cut in place.

Here's another look at these tents when complete:

  1. Super cute! My oldest just came back from his Scout summer camp, these would have been cute to send him with...or maybe too cute, depending on the mood of a preteen :)
