Make It Meaningful: Halloween Countdown Calendar

When I saw this paper from Carta Bella Paper, I knew that I wanted to create some kind of Halloween countdown calendar with it.
To do so, I used the following steps:
1. Cut out all of the square pieces. Because the 31st has the words "Happy Halloween" you may simply disregard this square or start your countdown on a different date. The photo above shows one day until Halloween.
2. Create the frame piece by decorating a Dollar Store frame with papers and stickers from the Carta Bella Paper "Spooky" collection. Add a square of velcro to the area in the frame where the countdown squares will go.
3. Add velcro to the back side of each of the countdown squares. Attach each new countdown number as the days pass.
Look for other collections from Carta Bella Paper or Echo Park Paper with numbers to complete this same project for another holiday. Here's a peek at both the collection kit and matching "Designer Die" for this collection:
