Every teacher deserves to have a cute, inspirational classroom. I love watching teachers' creativity come to light each year as the school year begins. My son has been taught in a jungle, in the White House, and in several other adventurous places as his teachers have prepared a classroom that's fit for a growing mind.
Today I thought I'd share a few projects that can help a teacher "decorate" their room. These would also serve as fun teacher gifts throughout the year.
The first is this altered notebook magnet I purchased about a year ago. Here's the "before" of this notebook:
Here is the completed magnet (I only stamped the first sheet of the little notebook, but you could stamp every page for a beautifully repeated design):
Here is a close-up shot of the magnet:
Another idea is to alter or recover a little chalkboard that can be used as a countdown for students to a special event, or to count towards a 100 days of school. Here is the "before" picture:
And here is the completed project:

I always like a little notepad by the phone. Why not a dry-erase board? Simply add patterned paper behind the glass of the frame. Dry-erase markers will easily write and wipe off the surface. Here's the before of the frame:

And here's a close-up of the finished project:
Challenge: Create a fun decor piece for your own or your child's classroom. Upload it to you favorite gallery. Leave me a comment in this blog post with the link for a chance to be entered in the drawing for a chance to win a $25 2Peas Gift Certificate. I can't wait to see what you create!
