I was super thrilled to be asked by Webster's Pages to be their Guest Designer this month. They have such lovely, feminine details in their collections. I got the opportunity to play with two collections. The first is "Sunday Picnic," which is sweet and pretty and includes both bright and muted colors. I first created a card with lots of feminine styling:
Then I created a layout by cutting the background from my Silhouette machine and filling in the "holes" with patterns from this collection. What a fun technique:
For the "Girl Land" projects I wanted to go with a more graphic design approach. So again, I used my Silhouette machine to cut the title four times from cardstock. I mounted the cardstock on the layout and decorated around the title. I hung the photos from twine:
For the card, I added some background stamping. Their stamps are smooth and easy to use and such pretty patterns. I also added some texture with ribbon, which quickly and easily decorates a card:
