"Jane's Doodles" Blog Hop

Welcome to the "Jane's Doodles" Blog Hop. You may have just arrived from Emily Leiphart's blog. I'm so excited to be participating in today's hop. Jane Beljo is an amazing woman and a VERY creative person. She has recently begun designing stamps, and today I get to play with them.
Jane hand draws each of the stamp images. I so admire her talent as I have very little in the fine art talent department. Let me show you how cute her images are!
The first project I created uses the "Pretty Peonies" stamp set. I stamped the first flower, then masked it off and stamped a second flower (same image) slightly lower than the first stamp. I colored in these images with my Copic Markers (R22, R24, R27, YG03, YG17, YR15, YR18) then cut them out. I then layered them onto a circle of pink dotted patterned paper and then added the "you are loved" sentiment in black ink:

The second project I created uses the "Party Time" stamp set. For this card, I stamped the stacked present image on a die cut label cut from kraft cardstock. Then I stamped the image again on several different sheets of patterned paper. I cut out each present and mounted them on the image stamped on the die cut shape. Then I stamped the sentiment at the bottom of the stack of presents. This is a quick and easy way to dress up an open stamp image:

For the last project I combined both of these techniques. Using the "Party Time" and the "Big Sentiments" stamp sets, I first stamped three of the cake images onto white cardstock. I used Copic Markers (E11, E25, E55, Y15, Y17) to color in the chocolate cake and the candles. Then I stamped the same cake images onto different patterned papers. I cut the frosting images from the paper and mounted them on the cake images. This gives the cakes even more dimension:

I hope you enjoyed the cards today. Want to see more of Jane's amazing stamps in action? Then be sure to visit Wendy Sue Anderson's blog next!

Want to Win a Prize? Simply leave a comment on every blog in the hop. ONE lucky winner will receive all three of these stamp sets! Keep watching Jane's blog for details and the announcement of the winner.
