"Playful"

One thing I have never done in this industry is product design. I think I might like it, but since I'm not a trained artist I just sit back and enjoy the great products already available to me. So when a fabulous product designer invites me to play with her stuff, I tend to jump at the chance. You already know how I feel about Crystal Wilkerson's amazing artwork. And today I got to use her darling new "Playful" font, which you can download here, with my Silhouette Machine.

The Silhouette Machine does a fabulous job of cutting TrueType fonts. I especially enjoy the ability to weld the letters together to create an even more professional looking title.

For this layout, I stamped clouds on pattern paper and then created a butterfly scene at the top. Then I created a title strip with a script font for part of the title, and then the "Playful" font for the colorful part of the title. Crystal pointed out how cute this font looks with different colors for the letters, so I completely copied that idea! LOL! I also changed the colors in my journaling block, which is printed on pattern paper. I only used four colors so it wouldn't get too busy.
