Winter Warning!!

I can't believe, but after several lovely days hovering in the mid-50's, we are getting TONS of snow today. I don't know. I realize it's only March after all, but man! Actually I think it's quite pretty today and once I get my grocery shopping done I will be fine just to sit at home doing domestic details.

This week has been Dr. Suess week at the elementary school, and Jimmy actually let me do his hair for "Crazy Hair" Day. He NEVER lets us mess with his hair. But he wanted to try it today, and this was the end result:

The bad thing? He wanted a mowhawk again today. Nope!! I appreciate the little man's desire to express himself, but I draw the line at this. Something fun and funky is fine but I'm not the drastic hair-do type. I'm much more conservative.

Playing some more today. I saw this amazing rosetta frame from Silhouette, and I KNEW I had to try it on something so I framed it out on some Little Yellow Bicycle pattern paper and then created this layout. You can see the products here at 2Peas:

This layout went live today at 2Peas. I had so much fun with it!! I used a digital sticker kit for the forecast weather signs. I used a kit from Kate Teague which was actually a layout, but I added the forecast stickers to the open "days of the week" photo drop-in spots. Then I shrunk the entire layout down to 7X7" and printed it out on photo paper. (Photo paper makes it really shiny and the colors more rich.) I finished it up with some stuff from 2Peas. Just one of those layouts that comes together and makes you feel so happy. You can see some detail shots and the complete supply list here at 2Peas:

And this final layout is a tribute to my soccer-playing boy! I went a little embellishment crazy on this one, but it was fun! I'm liking vertical lines these days. They used to scare me, but now I kind of enjoy them. You can see additional photos here at 2Peas:
