Time to Myself
So I took a few days off. I'd like to say that it was relaxing, but I have no idea how not to work. Hee, hee. When my husband tells me to take a break and go do something, I have NO CLUE what to do with myself. My hobby became my work and my outlet. Oh well.
I did finish reading this book:
It is a POWERFUL read about a young girl growing up in Nazi Germany told through the eyes of Death. It's a long read--552 pages, I believe. But I could not put it down. Without telling me how to feel it left me to discover my own emotions and reactions. I will admit to bawling during this book. It has definitely impacted me. (I will add a disclaimer here that there is swearing in the book, but other than that is a completely clean read.) Truly amazing book! We are discussing in an upcoming Book Club, and it's going to be a great discussion!
Remember these projects I completed for Little Yellow Bicycle using the new "Clothesline" release?
Here are a few of my favorite items:
* Flower Stick Pins
* Clothesline Ribbon
* Favorite Pieces Cardstock Stickers
* Clothesline Journal Tablet
Many of these pieces are textured fabric or cardstock or embossed. They really spent some time on the details here. It is a super lovely line!
Well, I need to work today; but my office is a TOTAL wreck. I suppose that's something I could have done during my break. But I find if I step into my office and start moving around scrapbook supplies--even if only to clean, then I find myself working. It's a sickness I tell you! ;)
I loved this book... definitely made me grateful for what all I have (and can do!)
ReplyDeleteOooo! Love the pins, ribbon, and journal spots! I'll have to scout some of these out for myself!
