I'm Outta Here!

So I'm off to Vegas today. Wish for good weather and safe travel (and good health).

Here is some eye candy to keep you company while I'm gone. LOL!

The first two cards are using the Little Yellow Bicycle "Baby Safari" line. Absolutely DARLING for both babies and just playful projects.

And then these two are using the "Zinnia" line. So very spring and gorgeous colors. These cards were super quick to create. Sometimes simple is all you need.

Have a wonderful weekend!
Not Cropping Tonight!

Just wanted to let you know that I will NOT be at Archiver's this evening. Was not productive at all last time and I am not prepared to go this week.

For those of you that do go, have a wonderful time.

I'm hoping to have some family time with the hubby and kiddos.
Vegas Question and More Product Eye Candy!
Ok, so I'm heading down to Vegas next weekend. Any recommendations for things to do? I'm thinking the Bellagio fountains and garden. We have tickets to NASCAR. If it's rainy, I want to go bowling. I haven't done that in ages. Any good shows? (I've seen Phantom so what about something else.)

And for fun, I thought I'd show you the latest goodies I can't wait to get my hands on (remember my last list? I was able to get most of those items.)

The first is the so darling, 2Peas "Pea" digi kit. Oh my goodness, cute stuff:

And then if you love Miss Ali Edwards, how about this darling stamp set. I'm just sayin':

And then if you're into this "owl" trend, how can you resist this ever so handsome fella (and his equally handsome price of $.50)?

And then I KNOW I'm going to kick myself for sharing this one because then they will be all gone, but I'm in love with this butterfly punch:

Yeah, I know. It's tough on a girl's pocketbook, but what kind of friend would I be if I didn't share? LOL!

Let's hear those Vegas ideas, people!! Thanks in advance.

Happy Belated Valentines!

It seems my life is always busy these days. Whether it's work stuff, for which I'm grateful. Church stuff which is necessary and right. Or just life stuff which is my heart and soul. I hardly seem to have a minute to breathe right now. So yesterday my husband and I didn't really try to make a big deal out of Valentine's Day. And that was fine with both of us. Some years it seems more important than others. I will say my beautiful daughter did agree to babysit for free for us while we snuck out for an hour or two to do some shopping. She's an amazing girl!!

One side note: Brett and I got engaged 16 years ago yesterday. I asked him last night if he realized the night he was asking me that he was going to get himself into such a mess. LOL! He actually thought I would say "no." That takes some guts to ask a girl to marry you when you think her answer will be a negative. But my answer was "yes" and I'm so glad I was smart enough to catch myself such a great man. :)

We're leaving for Vegas in a couple of weeks. Heading down to a Nascar race--my first. I need to get myself some REALLY good earplugs. I think it will be fun to try something new. I hope the weather is nice. We've had yucky snow the past week on and off. Thankfully as of this morning, it's melted off the walks and roads. I think it's going to be a loooooooooong winter. :(

The 2Peas Mid-Month Garden went up today. I love to look at all the layouts. And then I faithfully check their product lists to see if there is anything they love that I might love too. I LOVE that feature. It's like having a bunch of my own personal shoppers.

This layout was created for the Seasonal theme of "love". We love leaving lips on our kids so everyone will know they are ours. I love this photo of Joey looking so embarrassed with a pair of lips on his cheek from me. These are the photos I cherish most of him.

And this one was for the Additional Theme of being inspired by 2Peas. I knew that when I heard of the theme, that I needed to thank all those people that donated their time, money, and talent to support us during Joey's illness and passing. You truly lifted my wings and as it seems that right now is a more painful time of missing him for some reason I think it was even more important to thank everyone again. There are way too many triggers that remind me that he's not here: my daughter signing up for Junior High, having to give a talk in a large meeting about him, our friend whose son is named "Joey." It comes in waves and right now it's more difficult. I am happy. I just wish my little boy could be here with us (and that's not to take away from my belief that he's where he's supposed to be--just that I miss him terribly). So thank you, everyone, for lifting us up!

You can also see some other amazing layouts that completely inspired me. Like this lift created by Rebecca Trump. I love grid layouts!! Or this awesome creative creation by Kelli Crowe. That woman is an artistic genius! And this one by Cindy Liebel just makes me happy. Packaging inspiration is so cool!

Hope you have an inspirational, creative day!

One Reason CHA is So Hard on Me

One reason is the fact that I need a bigger income to accommodate all the goodies I find that I "need" afterward. LOL!

I thought I'd share a couple of things on my "wish list". Then you can leave me a link to those you are hoping to get or have gotten so I can add them too. ;)

Ok, there a few things that aren't new, but I've never gotten my little hands on them so they are my wish list too.

How bout these Strawberry Lollipop flowers from Prima? Yum, no?!!

And then there's these Crepe Paper ribbons from Jenni Bowlin. Oh my goodness--seriously, crepe paper of all things. Sigh!

And then KI is going to kill me, kill me I say with these new paper pads like this "Jet Setting" 12X12 pack.

And Cosmo Cricket, please stop. I don't think my pocket book can handle much more (but like I'm going to say "no" to papers like this "Monday Girl Friday" paper.

And then if you're a digi gal or thinking of dipping your toes into the water, then here's a kit to get wet with (how could I resist fruit with faces?). The Kawaii Cute Fruits kit:

Well, if I haven't convinced you that CHA is cruel and unusual punishment for a girl that's on a budget, then I don't know what will. ;)

Happy Shopping!!

Come Crop with Me Tonight!!

And you don't even need to leave the comfort of your own home. :) 2Peas is having an online crop tonight from 6-11 p.m. CST. We will be chatting in the Garden Girl forum, and posting hourly challenges for prizes on the Garden Girl blog. Cindy Liebel and Jennifer Johner will be hosting too so come and play.

On another note, I just finished up work for the Scrapbook Trends "Stamping" book. I had so much fun. This sounds like it's going to be a great book for those who love to stamp and those who are interested in learning. You already know how I feel about stamping. I believe it will be out in the next month or so, so keep a lookout for it!

The layout above was created for the weekly challenge at 2Peas. There will be a new challenge from one of the GG's soon. This last week's challenge was to put something large on your layout. I chose that large digital brad--so cute. And I thought that photo was more than appropriate. LOL!

Any hot plans for the weekend? We're still working out ours. Probably hanging out with friends tomorrow evening. That should be a great getaway.
Share Your Space GG Blog Post!

Today is my day for the Garden Girl blog, and I am sharing some photos of my space. Now I must warn you that after taking these photos, I realized that my room is a little BLAH. If you have a suggestion, go for it. Leave one here or on the GG Blog post. My room is always a work in progress. :)
The Garden is Up!

Have you checked out the garden today? I always love looking, and we sometimes let each other peek; but I still don't get to see all of the girls' work until the same day as everyone else. I always feel more inspired and more renewed.

This month's theme is 2Peas and how we are inspired by the website.

For one of the layouts about being inspired by 2Peas, I wanted to do a layout about a Pea that totally inspires me: Cindy Tobey. That woman is amazing! She is like a total texture queen. You can see some links to her projects in my seed here. But here is my take on her use of texture (see the felt?):

And then I wanted to do a layout about the products that I can always find at 2Peas. I love that Kristina always purchases the latest and greatest. So I focused on the shopping I do at 2Peas.

And I have one more up, but I will let you find it in the Garden. :)

On another note, today is my husband's birthday. Wishing you all the best, sweetheart! Happy Birthday!
