Still recuperating, I couldn't afford to spend the little energy I had *thinking*. It was exhausting! I'm sure it's much the same during a move. My remedy was to slow down, revisit some old designs, use a friend's sketches, stop trying to reinvent the wheel. I pushed through for a few months and gradually began to feel like my old self, both physically and creatively. Sometimes I sit in my scrap room after dinner and try to scrap, but usually I am just too tired. I leave the house by 6:45am every morning and after work and a few errands I am seldom home until 6:00pm. Then I have to cook dinner. So by the time I see my scrap table I am just worn out. And I sit at the table and just push things around. Or get sucked into the mindless internet. If I am really inspired by a project, I seem to find the energy to scrap, craft or work on a project, it will get done. Plus I like to do lots of different crafts, so working on something different helps too. Plus a deadline helps. If it was not for the last minute, sometimes nothing would get done :)<br />Bertahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14586579091918785831noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30876563.post-77613832169425368752014-08-15T23:32:15.121-06:002014-08-15T23:32:15.121-06:00Wow, I have never lost my mojo. That is my big issue is finding the time. gelahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08398851264062550007noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30876563.post-85350742599356248642014-08-15T07:23:55.968-06:002014-08-15T07:23:55.968-06:00Walking away. When that happens I just walk away from whatever it is I am doing whether its a layout or mixed media or otp project, I find if I distance myself from it for a while the mojo comes back and I can see it with a fresh eye. I also try to find inspiration on pinterest and blogs and magazines. Well what motivated me was uploading layouts to a scrapping gallery. There's nothing better than getting feed back from other scrappers. My scrap room is only 10x10 and is packed to the gills. It's not stuff I want to get rid of either, since it's mostly tools (dies, punches, embossing plates/texture fades, stamps, inks, sprays, paints, brushes, pens, empty scrapbooks, page protectors, ribbons, tape, glue, scissors, paper.............) you get the idea. I also have a Silhouette Cameo, Cricut Expression, cartridges galore, Slice, bind-it-all, cinch, etc. My problem is that I'm so overwhelmed that I can't figure out WHERE to start. I get inspired and WANT to scrap whenever I see a page someone has made and it makes me think of a picture I have and how I want to try that technique, BUT when I think of all the STUFF I have to drag out to make something and then put it all back I just lose interest. Is there any help for this? (without getting rid of stuff that I want to keep.) I work in the garden, bake something, read a magazine or scroll through Pinterest. I find that is often all I need, and a little break does us all some good. Thanks for your great videos, they also inspire me too!! I found Paperclipping Roundtable podcasts (which is how I found you) and got excited about learning more. I have just started my own blog after ten years of wanting to but being intimidated. I feel so energized and creative. I am itching to get in my craft room every day. It's brand new, but you can check out my new site at LesCreatesMore.blogspot.com I hope it inspires you to create. I love your pages.LesCreatesMorehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04035612806827093374noreply@blogger.com
