Scrapbooking Process Video #78: How to Fussy Elements to Frame a Photo

Today I wanted to share with you how cutting elements from pattern paper can frame a photo. Fussy cutting is the term we use when you cut directly around an image. You can leave white space around the image or cut right up against the line of color. Pattern paper with large enough images to easily cut make the perfect starting point for this technique. Here's the layout I created today:

Here's a look at the amazing "American" paper stack I used to create this layout. The only thing I added to this layout are enamel dots, a sticker title, a photo corner, and twine. Everything else came from this gorgeous paper pad:

Here's a close up look of how beautiful the flowers look cut from the patterned paper in this stack. Because the patterns are printed on heavy-weight paper, the paper look like high-end die cut embellishments. I love that!
