It's official. Planners and calendaring are super hot trends right now. From Webster's Pages, to Simple Stories you can find gorgeous planners to fit any style. Love the look but prefer scrapbooking? How about using some of those gorgeous products on a layout? In this layout recently published in the Spring issue of Scrapbook and Cards Today Magazine, I used some of my own calendar collection to create a layout about my niece in the month of April.

Memories Made Scrapbooking Process Video #42: Happy

Today I picked a photo to scrapbook from way back when. In this photo Joey is about 12 years old, which would make Katelyn about 10. This was before I had a great camera so the photo isn't the best quality but it is IMPORTANT to me so I wanted to make sure it made its way onto a layout. Here's the layout I created in today's scrapbooking process video:

Want a closer look at the layering on this page? (You know I love my layering.) Here's a close up look at the layout. Note that instead of creating a cluster of elements we created a layered border with some of my favorite ephemera pieces from Crate Paper. There are so many ways to use these die cut shapes. No wonder I own so many of these packs!
