Make It Meaningful: Family Mailbox Paper Craft

When I was a little girl, my mom stitched together a charming little fabric train on a pin board. For each train car, she created a special pocket. Then during the holiday season, we'd draw another family member's name and do something special for them each day of the week. Some days it included little notes of love inside those train pockets. It was that delivery system that first got me excited about sending little notes to others. Today's paper craft is a "Family Mailbox" you can create with your Silhouette die cut machine and "The Story of Our Family" scrapbooking collection kit from Echo Park Paper. To create the basic mailbox shape, you'll need to download the "3d Mailbox" Silhouette shape designed by Lori Whitlock. Once it's downloaded, use your Silhouette machine to cut out the mailbox pieces with the solid and patterned papers found in this charming family collection:
