Five Ways to Dress Up Your Craft Business Cards

When I was a little girl, my sister Sandy and I would play "business." With our Battleship boxes propped opened and serving as our "typewriters" (yes, I am THAT old), we pretended to take calls, type up notes, and run our businesses. I loved it. I felt so grown up. I suppose I've always known that I would end up working in some capacity. While my primary focus has always been my family, I've had some side or part-time job my entire life. I just have that need to be "busy" in the business world.

This week I'm heading out to CHA (a major craft tradeshow). Knowing that I would be meeting many of my online friends face-to-face for the first time, I wanted to have a few business cards to hand out so we could exchange contact information

Having just recently updated my blog logo, and with the help of my very artistic daughter I set out to design the following business cards:

I wanted something subtle on the back of the card, so I turned to my friend Gennifer Bursett for some advice. She owns the very cool "Pixels and Company" digital scrapbooking supply company, and I knew she would know where I could find what I was looking for. But Gen went the extra mile and DESIGNED me an entirely new diagonal background for my cards.

Because I work in the crafting industry, sometimes a simple business card just doesn't seem interesting enough. I mean, I am a paper hoarder after all. So here are a few ways you can dress up your craft business cards.

Dressing Up Craft Business Cards:

#1: Get your cards printed with a letter press or in a fun shape.

#3 Hand stamp at least the logo on your business cards.

#4 Add confetti to the card or in a glassine bag.

#5 Add glitter to a portion of the card.

There are additional ways you could make your card stand out from others: punch it into a unique shape, add a foil treatment, place it inside a unique envelope or bag, add drips of paint or watercolor images. Whatever you do, make sure it speaks to who you are.
