2014: The Big Plan (and a little mystery)

Welp, it's finally here. The new year and what a year it's going to be!

About mid-December I throw my hands up in the air and give up on the year. I figure with only a few weeks until the end of the year, what's the point, right? I quit trying to live up to my 2013 failures (I mean goals). I quit trying for the perfect family, the perfect house, the perfect life; and we just embrace the chaos. And then about a week later, I start getting excited for the new year. I buy a new calendar and start filling in birthdays, vacation plans, and big events. And suddenly I've gone from feeling like "I'm never going to get anything right" to more of an "I've got this!" attitude.

So what's in store for 2014? What can you expect to see from me this year?

I'll give you a couple of hints:

* Three Words.
* It involves videos.
* It's a slightly new direction for me, but not completely. Just more focused.
* It might involve some more travel.
* I'm completely humbled by the thought of it.
* It was a great excuse to buy new products and purge older items.
* These hints may refer to more than one amazing new opportunity this year!

Makes you go "Hmmmm," doesn't it?

When I started mapping out my 2014 calendar, I realized it was going to be a very full and busy year. I'm excited about things. I'm challenging myself. I'm overcoming fears and doing things I never thought I could. And with all of that comes my "One Little Word" (inspired by Ali Edwards):

"Believe" is such a simple word and yet it carries so much meaning. For me it means having the confidence in myself to do new things. Not because this is a new confidence but because I have already conquered so many things that I thought I wasn't capable of, or good enough for. I CAN do this because in some ways I already have.

As you wait for the final reveal of each of these new opportunities, be sure to check out the updates I've made here on my blog.

New Logo. First you'll notice that I've updated my blog with a longer title: "Insitefull Living." This embraces more of what I believe, which is that our lives should be filled with meaning and purpose, and so my goal is that the ideas and thoughts I share here on my blog should help inspire both you and I to live that way--a more purposeful life.

New Connect Sidebar. Looking to find me through social media? Check out the sidebar on the right. I'm in lots of different places so be sure to take a moment and follow me in the places you most often visit.

New "About Me" Page. You can learn more about me and my vision HERE on my "About Me" page. This is also the place to contact me if you're interested in learning more about what I do.

Project Sneak Peeks. Because I can't yet reveal everything I'm going to be working on next year, I thought I'd give you a very tiny sneak peek at what you might see. Stay tuned for the complete reveal throughout the year.

It's already shaping up to be a great year. Maybe this year I'll make it all the way through to December 31st without giving up this time. (Fingers crossed.)
