Memories Made #23 Scrapbooking Process Video: Super Fantastic Love

Welcome to this week's "Memories Made" Scrapbooking Process Video. Each week I create a layout start-to-finish and share my process and tips and tricks here on my blog. You can subscribe to my Youtube channel HERE for all of my tutorial videos including this weekly series.

This week's memory: My Niece at the Park

This week I'm using a recent photo from a family picnic at the park. My niece doesn't stand still long enough for me to get many photos of her, but I did happen to snap this one of her hoarding licorice after dinner. She cracks me up, and I wanted this photo to be the center of attention on my layout so it's placed smack dab in the middle of the page.

Here is the layout about this memory:

This week's technique: Embossing Powder and Patterned Paper Strips

Looking to use up your stash of patterned paper scraps? Make a layout filled with strips of different sizes. For today's layout, I layered some newer and older paper to create a dynamic page. Using subtle patterns or colors that work well together make the matching process easier. I also used embossing powder and a versamark ink pad to stamp and die cut the butterfly shape. Using the new Sizzix Magnetic Platform makes the design process much easier.

Here are some close-up views of the layout:

Below I've suggested products you could use to recreate this layout. If something is out of stock, simply search by similar words like "NAVY" or "SEQUINS" to find something else that might work.

  1. Thanks for the video. I like your neat style and I also like the way you describe the process - which side of paper you use, for example, the paper textures, etc.
