Product Focus Week 12: Cameras

Welcome to this week's Product Focus." In these weekly blog posts, I'll share a scrapbooking product I'm particularly drawn to, and then share some ways I've used the product in a project. I'll point out tips and tricks for using the product, share some of my favorite products from that product line, and then I'll open it up for any questions you might have. I'd also love to hear your reviews or uses for the product I focus on each week. This is a chance for you to pull out products you already own and play with them or for you to discover new product you might not have yet tried.

This week I wanted to focus on the hot trend of cameras. I'm seeing them everywhere: from patterned paper, to wood veneer shapes, to stamps, to stickers, and so much more. This fun iconic image can be used with any topic as photographs are always the main subject of our projects anyway. Hot trends like these are fun and and easy to use, and this is a great one to start with.

Here are a few of my favorite camera products (click the photos for links to the products). You can also search by "camera" in the 2Peas store:

Below you will find a gallery of projects that use cameras in some manner. Hopefully these will give you some new ideas for using a camera or two on your next projects.

Idea #1: Add a brad to the lens of the camera.

Idea #2: Incorporate a strip of camera patterned paper on your layout.

Idea #3: Create a cluster around a die cut or chipboard camera shape.

  1. I do love cameras on layouts, but didn't make too many projects including it. Here is my layout with a camera from Echo Park collection: http://anyalstudio.blogspot.com/2012/10/day-three.html

    Thanks:)

  2. I love to use cameras too and like your idea of adding a brad to the middle. I have a layout using camera paper: http://melgetsscrappy.blogspot.co.uk/2013/03/what-to-do-with-paper-too-pretty-to-hide.html
