Fast Photo Friday: Springtime Play

Now that we're having longer stretches of warmer weather, the kids are heading outside to play. I love the sound of kids playing through my open windows. James is especially drawn to the dirt. Yesterday they were digging tunnels deep enough in the garden that they hoped to crawl through. Being the worrying kind of Mom I put a stop to that and suggested they just dig deep holes. I love this time of year (despite the allergies we suffer from).

Pinned: Spring

I dream of it. I long for it. I'm so in the mood for Spring. I know that we're probably due for a few more snowstorms, but I'm going to thoroughly enjoy this mid 60 degree weather while I can. Helping me get my spring fix, I've been browsing Pinterest for some "Spring Party" and "Spring Craft" ideas. Below are a few items that I found, as well as, the source for these awesome ideas!

If you're looking for items to craft with that sing of spring, be sure to watch this 2Peas "Personal Shopper" video in which Jamie shares her picks for "Spring" papercrafting supplies:

Below are a few of my "spring" picks that I either own or hope to soon play with!

2Peas Project: Enjoy

I definitely struggle with both being in front of the camera for photos and then adding layouts about myself to my scrapbooks. I'm not sure what it is, but I'm definitely not comfortable in either position. But I am trying to work on including my face in my scrapbooks so my kids will know that I really was at most of the family events.

This week I have a project from the 2Peas Garden that I'd like to share with you. This is a photo I took of myself while laying on the floor. Talk about reaching pretty far with my heavy Nikon D50, while pressing the buttons (I need to figure out the timer again).

You can see more photos of this project HERE, as well as, additional project supplies I've suggested that coordinate with supplies used in this project.

Tip Tuesday: Keeping Extra Supplies On Hand

I'm sure you're just like me--scrapbooking into the wee hours of the night and suddenly you realize that you've run out of your favorite adhesive or you need a new trimmer blade. I've gotten very creative in the past--machine stitching everything onto my layout, using a stapler. Since then I've become much more organized at keeping those kinds of supplies on hand. I watch for sales on white, kraft, and black cardstock. I use coupons to stock up on adhesives. Add basic supplies to your weekly or monthly shopping list and add a few extra supplies each month to build up your stash. That way you'll have all you need no matter what time of day you're working.

Here are few of the supplies I try to keep on hand all the time:
