2Peas Challenge: Use Punches to Create an Ombre Effect

Have you noticed the "ombre" trend? Ombre is the color blending from dark to light or light to dark. You have likely seen it in hairstyles, on nails, on curtains, on home furnishings. Here are a few examples:

This week on 2Peas I'm hosting the Weekly Challenge. I'm using punches and a sewing machine to create an ombre effect. Here is the layout I created:

Challenge: Use any punch–border, shape, corner rounder to create an ombre effect on your layout. Try yellow, grey, pink, purple or even teal if you desire. Upload it to the challenge gallery making sure to mark the correct challenge box.

  1. Ooh! I love this--Such a pretty color with all those lovely tone on tone prints that really look great on the kraft background. I also love how turning your photo to black and white makes it pop and fit in with the ombre color scheme.
