2Peas Project: He Dreams in Color

Sometimes I need to step out of my comfort zone with my addiction to bright, saturated color schemes. To do that I rely heavily on a piece of patterned paper with a beautiful scheme to help carry me through the design and planning process.

These are the two paper pads that inspired the colors for my 2Peas Garden layout "He Dreams in Color." First is the "What's Up" paper pad from Basic Grey, with its lovely lavendars, soft teals, and distressed purples:

I then added elements from the "Abroad" paper pad from Studio Calico to finish off the layout:

Based on the beautiful colors in these two kits, here is the finished layout I came up with:
