I am the "change my mind a million times before letting it sit" kind of designer. That's ok. If something's not working, I'll rip part of it off my page. If a card isn't going the way I want, I may turn it into a page embellishment. I even give myself permission to throw away a half-completed layout because it's giving me fits.
By "Make it work!" I mean let go of your natural perfectionistic tendencies. Do what feels comfortable and right for YOU! And have some fun while you're doing it!
Do you ever struggle with feeling guilty about throwing away scraps? I always think about how TECHNICALLY i could save each little piece and make something cute- but who has the energy?! What do you do?
ReplyDeleteI throw it away. Wasting space is just as bad as wasting money. You just have to decide at the time which one feels worse to you. :)
