Beacons of Light

I cannot say that I understand why some people are called upon to suffer in ways that seem unusually difficult. I am not sure I will ever (in this life) understand all the reasons why my little boy had to suffer through cancer and then lose his life to it. I would not even attempt to answer that.

But I have noticed that sometimes those people who do suffer become beacons of light for the rest of us.

Joey was one for our family. And he appears to touch lives even three years past his passing. It is a beautiful gift.

This woman is another beacon of light to those of us who feel our burden is too heavy. She amazes me. And I admire and feel grateful to her for sharing her story so publicly. "Let your light so shine, Stephanie! Let it shine!"

I couldn't even get through the entire video. It is such raw emotion. But I had to share her story.
