Back to Work

Does it count as cleaning my office if things are now in reasonable piles? Say, yes, K?!! ;)

Got a goodie box from 2Peas yesterday. Filled with My Little Shoebox, My Mind's Eye, Sassafrass Lass, American Crafts, and something from 7 Gypsies. Plus a big bag of M&M's magically appeared. Good grief. This is NOT helping my diet at all. (Although I have lost the 4 pounds that I gained. Happy day!!)

The LYB blog is now up and running. Here is a layout for their website that I recently created using the "Generation Z" line:

I'll tell you what! If you go check out the blog, and leave a comment, then leave a comment on this blog post with a link to your LYB Blog comment. Then I'll send out a little extra Little Yellow Bicycle stuff to one random drawing winner. I have some extra goodies from several of their lines that would be fun to send out. I'll give you one week from today to check out their blog. Then I'll pull a name on Thursday, March 18th to win the prize so check back then and be prepared to give me your name and address via e-mail for the prize or I'll pick another winner. :)

Also, there is an uber cool tutorial up on the Scrapbook Trends Blog today--Heat Transfer for the Silhouette Machine. I tell ya Silhouette keeps coming up with AWESOME stuff: die cuts, vinyl, rhinestones, and now heat transfer. So awesome. The amazing, Kerri Bradford, created the amazing project for us! (Oh, and there's a GREAT GIVEAWAY with the post, so be sure to check it out!)

I'm also playing with stamps from Technique Tuesday. Their latest stamp release is so fun! I wanted to make a card with some of their images. (And any Ali Edwards stamps will always make me a content girlie.) Here's the first card.

Supplies:
* Cardstock by Prism, Provo Craft, Bazzill
* Ducks in a Row 8x8" paper pad by October Afternoon
* Aviary stamp set by Technique Tuesday
* Alphabet Soup stamp set by Technique Tuesday
* Stamping Ink by Stampin' Up
* Mustard Embossing Powder by American Crafts
* Die Cut by Quickutz
* Jumbo Scallop Scissors by Provo Craft
* Ribbon by American Crafts
* Gem stickers by Me and My Big Ideas
* 1.5" Circle Punch by Fiskars
* 2" Scallop Circle Punch by Fiskars

Here is another card using more Technique Tuesday stamps and the same paper pad I used above. I like to do a few at a time from one pad to move things along a little quicker. And I'm finding the smaller format paper pads wonderful because the pattern is typically smaller, which is great for cards.

Supplies:
* Cardstock by Provo Craft, Die Cuts with a View, Prism
* Ducks in a Row 8x8" paper pad by October Afternoon
* Alphabet Soup stamp set by Technique Tuesday
* Life in Pictures stamp set by Technique Tuesday
* Ali Edwards Everyday Words stamp set by Technique Tuesday
* Jumbo Scallop Scissors by Provo Craft
* Stamping Ink by Stampin' Up and Inque Boutique
* Ribbon source unknown
* Buttons by American Crafts
* 1.5" Circle Punch by Fiskars
* Scallop Sentiment Border Punch by Fiskars

Today I'm working on my Scrapbook Trends article. It's a fun topic, and I loved the other designers' beautiful work. I typically wait and see what kind of submissions come in, and then I create my layout(s) based on what I think is missing for the article. But it's a tough act to follow when there's so many fabulous designers sending in their work. I hope you're one of the ones submitting! I'd love to see your name in print.
