Family In Town
Sorry I've been MIA for the last few days. My brother and his fiance are in town and I've been spending as much time with them as possible.
Thank YOU so much for all your words of love and support. I feel very lucky to have such great friends. I am trying very hard to take care of myself. I think it's hard for women to do that sometimes. But I'm working on it. ;)
Just a quick layout to share from my Scrapbook Trends "Stories to Tell" June article. The theme was "employment", and I took these photos of Joey mowing my mom's lawn while we lived with her for a year. Obviously it wasn't his favorite thing to do, but we wanted to maintain chores as much as possible while we lived there. I'm very proud when my kids work hard and accomplish their goals.
What kinds of chores do your kids do? My kids think I'm the most mean and strict parent in the world. I'd love to tell them otherwise. LOL!
Now that it's summertime and my kids are home so much they have loads of chores! (not as bad as it sounds though!) Mostly one cleaning item per day, for example, vacuum the living room, and then they are responsible for keeping their rooms and bathroom clean and neat and they have to help with laundry and dinner dishes, taking out the trash and helping with the dog.
